I get asked very often if my hair is natural so I'm so used to the question now. But the other day, I was working (I'm a cashier) and a girl came up and asked if it was natural. I told her yes and then she asked to take a picture of it. I assume she's trying to dye her hair this color, but it was so weird.
Oh that is weird and awkward even if that was what she wanted to do.
Natural ginger here. Been dying my hair brown for years as I never learned to luv my red hair. Luckily mom never let me use permanent dye so for the first time in ages, I let it fade completely. I'm back to my ginger self! Thing is, everyone says, "did you dye your hair" and I'm like "NO,I stopped!" Then I have to explain how I dyed it before etc. and it's just so awkward - any idea how to smooth things out? It's like people have to "reset" the way they'd thought of me. Brown hair was easier :(
Honestly I’m not really sure but you know what I think? If you’re happier being back to your ginger self then having the brown hair right now, then who cares which color was “easier” in terms of dealing with people’s reactions and questions? Just be you and do what makes you happy. I understand it might be annoying dealing with all these questions but it’s worth it if you’re happy and once everyone gets readjusted to the red anyway the questions should stop. Anyone else have any advice they’d like to offer up?
Hi! This isn't a question. Just fan mail! I'm not a ginger (brunette), but I have a lot of "ginger" characteristics because my great-grandmother was a ginger & my cousin is too (lucky dog). So I find the posts about sunburn and freckles hilarious and totally relatable! I love gingers, and I love hearing from others who do. So basically, I love your blog!

I was watching Ed Sheeran's interview where he blushed and tried to hide his blushing, so as a good ginger I also blushed. Due to this blushing sequence, to ginger things: "failing on hiding your blush, as much as you try to.'' I laughed a lot along with mom (another ginger) with all facts! And I have tons of baby pics with asians tourist... tons of them.

I have curly, ginger hair that's pretty long. When the movie "Brave" came out my friends said we should go and see it and then started calling me "Merida" and such like. When we were walking out of the theater, a little kid looks at me and asks "Are you a princess?" Cutest moment ever!

See, I remember a couple months ago I was walking down a street in this place I was visiting, and someone stopped me and called me a spawn of satan and pointed to my hair, then they ran away so I wasn't able to do anything. Needless to say I was quite offended.
Really?!?! Did they sound like they were joking or as though they were serious? Not that that excuses the behavior at all. Very rude of them.
I have never been attracted to another ginger before.. but I have fallen for a ginger guy. He's adorable. My family makes fun of us and tells us that we will have "cute ginger babies that you'll have to share your sunscreen with." Ohmygosh. Ill never hear the end of it...
I always find it funny how two brunetts or two blondes could date and no one would necessarily make any jokes regarding their same hair color but two gingers and the jokes just start churning out.
My friends would be joking about our needing to procreate so as to save the gingers from going extinct/they’d definitely manage to get a “you need to have 7 kids so you can be the Weasleys” joke in there as well.
